Welcome

GOOD NEWS! Our library project has just been granted $5,000 from Green Diamond Resource Company. Thanks to this local company for their helping build a branch library in Trinidad!

For several years the Trinidad area branch library has been located in a "spare" clasroom at Trinidad School. This temporary home does not adequately meet our community's needs: access is difficult for some seniors and hours are restricted by school schedules.

A Commmitte appointed by the Humboldt County Librarian developed a new library design. Preliminary funding has raised over $150,000 toward our goal of $450,000. We now begin a "public" funding campaign.

We welcome donations of any amount. However, if you are able to donate or pledge $1,000, either all at once or over a period of months, please do so. If only 300 individuals or businesses contribute $1000 each, we will reach our goal by the end of this summer and our new library can open its doors early next spring!

Donors can contribute to the "Trinidad Library Building Fund" at the Humboldt Area Foundation by check, by secure credit card direct deposits, and by pledging. This site will tell you how to use each of these methods. All donations are tax deductible.

We hope this site explains our project, answers your questions, and convinces you to donate as much as you can to help make our new library a reality.
